SKA at World of Coffee Bangkok 2026: Bringing Indonesian Coffee to the Global Stage

22 August 2026  | Aldi

This year, PT Sumber Kurnia Alam (SKA) had the opportunity to take part in World of Coffee (WOC) Bangkok 2026, one of the largest specialty coffee exhibitions in Asia, held on May 7–9, 2026. It was an important moment for us to introduce the quality of Indonesian coffee to industry players from various countries.

Why WOC Bangkok?

World of Coffee is an annual event that brings together producers, exporters, roasters, and buyers from around the world. For SKA, taking part wasn’t just about showcasing our products, it was also part of our ongoing effort to expand our international network while demonstrating our commitment to traceable and sustainable coffee.

At WOC Bangkok 2026, SKA shared a booth with GTH Coffee, a Thailand-based coffee trader supplying coffee to the Thai market. This shared booth gave SKA the chance to broaden its exposure while building new connections in the Southeast Asian market.

What We Brought to the Table

At the SKA booth, visitors had the chance to see and taste a range of premium Indonesian coffees, including Mandheling Coffee, Java Arabica Coffee, Gayo Coffee, and Flores Robusta Coffee. We also shared the story behind these coffees, from the farmers’ fields all the way to export readiness.

Every coffee bean we showcased carries a long story, from the hands of the farmers who tend to it, to the processing that preserves the distinct flavor character of its origin, all the way to meeting export quality standards. Visitors to our booth also had the opportunity to learn more closely about the traceability practices SKA applies throughout its supply chain.

New Connections and Moments

Throughout the exhibition, the SKA team had the opportunity to hold cupping sessions featuring Indonesian coffees alongside GTH Coffee’s offerings, engage in business discussions with potential buyers, and sample products from Kaffe Panitch and GTH Coffee.

SKA’s founder also had the opportunity to give a presentation on the Indonesian coffee industry at the Indonesia Pavilion Booth, hosted by Bank Indonesia, as part of the effort to support sustainability and promote Indonesian coffee on the international stage.

What’s Next

Participating in WOC Bangkok 2026 is part of SKA’s broader effort to expand export markets while building brand awareness in the Asian region. We believe that stepping onto an international stage like this opens the door to more collaboration opportunities, while reaffirming Indonesian coffee’s place on the world map.
