Building on the preparation carried out through its 4C Training & Refreshment session, PT Sumber Kurnia Alam (SKA) underwent a 4C Integrity Audit, as part of its ongoing compliance process with 4C Association certification standards. This audit is a key step in ensuring that all of the company’s practices and documentation align with 4C principles on the ground. 

What Is the 4C Integrity Audit? 

The Integrity Audit is a verification process conducted to ensure that the implementation of the 4C standard is applied consistently and in accordance with applicable requirements, covering economic, social, and environmental aspects of the coffee supply chain. The audit was conducted by the Integrity Team of the 4C Association, involving a comprehensive review of documentation, farmer data management systems, and the consistency of standard implementation at the operational level. The Integrity Audit is a key requirement for SKA to maintain its 4C membership status and certification. 

The Audit Process 

The 4C Integrity Audit took place over several days, involving a review of internal documents, interviews with relevant teams, and verification of partner farmer traceability data. Building on the earlier 4C Training & Refreshment, the SKA team ensured all procedures and records were aligned with the audited standard, allowing the verification process to run smoothly. 

Results and Follow-Up 

The results of the 4C Integrity Audit form the basis for SKA to continue maintaining its compliance status with the 4C standard, while following up on any feedback and recommendations from the auditors as part of a continuous improvement effort across all operations.
